This course offers a focused, pediatric-specific approach to musculoskeletal ultrasound, covering imaging of the hand, wrist, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle, and foot in children and adolescents. Participants will learn to optimize ultrasound images with attention to relevant physics principles and will explore key inflammatory conditions with particular emphasis on pathology in the pediatric ankle and foot. Faculty will review approaches to ultrasound-guided procedures in pediatric patients and highlight best practices through case-based clinical discussions that connect imaging findings to real-world decision-making. The course will also address current ultrasound billing practices and the relevance of certification for clinicians incorporating pediatric rheumatology ultrasound into their practice.
